Japanese tenor, Satoshi Mizukoshi, earned his bachelor's degree in classical singing and master's degree in early music singing at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He has completed his studies in singing and historical performance practice at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, working with Peter Kooij, Rita Dams and Michael Chance, graduating in 2010.
Since 1997 he has sung regularly with the Bach Collegium Japan, and has performed as a soloist with groups in European festivals such as "Ansbach Bachwoche" (Germany), "Bremen Musicfest" (Germany), "Festival de Musica de Canarias" (Spain).
TCD recordings as soloist include Bach Cantatas vol.47 and vol.48 with Bach Collegium Japan, and 2 Bach motets recordings with Sette Voci and Bach Collegium Japan.
He is in demand as the Evangelist in the Passions of Bach in Japan, and has been heard singing numerous Bach cantatas. Living in the Netherlands, he sings as members of Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe), Nederlands Kamerkoor, Capella Amsterdam (Daniel Reuss), Sette Voci (Peter Kooij).
